 6 Months (Renewable)


In general, the Service Assurance Voice Specialist:

  • Understands how his or her specific technology fits in with the overall Service and Service Lifecycle
  • Must be an effective communicator
  • Knows how to ‘get things done
  • Has knowledge of Vodacom and IT Infrastructure within his or her department to understand and analyse the data produced by the different monitoring systems. 


  • Responsible for supporting servers, both virtual and physical, hosted email services
  • To provide a high-level, high-quality service assurance role to Vodacom Business corporate clients, in the Customer Services Operations Centre [CSOC]
  • Support Hosting technical aspects of a Converged Network infrastructure, including Virtual and Physical Hosting services
  • Reporting of all incidents to relevant parties
  • Liaising with Client on all Hosting related events and fault resolutions
  • Fault Management update on Siebel SRM
  • Client update and follow up until incident closure: Complete understanding of ITIL practices
  • Cross collaboration with all levels within the Organization
  • Provide Support
  • Understanding of IP/GSM/Telecommunications/ICT Industry
  • Hosting technologies
  • Hosted solutions, virtual and physical
  • Understanding of Networking
  • Understanding of Security technologies 

Required certification/skills:

  • The resources must have a minimum of 5years experience in the Internet Service Provider and/or Telecommunications industry.
  • IT Diploma or Bachelor Degree: Information Technology, or
  • Microsoft certification (MCSE/A)
  • ITIL foundation certification (advantage but not a prerequisite)
  • AWS and Assure Qualifications and Certifications
